Key Ingredients
OCTOCRYLENE is a globally approved sunscreen agent that primarily protects skin from UVB light while providing a small amount of UVA protection. It acts as a booster that stabilizes the UVA sunscreen ingredients. Octocrylene is photostable meaning its SPF remains stable after exposure to light. It has been extensively reviewed and is considered safe as used in cosmetics and sunscreens. It does not have endocrine-disrupting properties. It does not mix or dissolve in water. Therefore, it can help add water-resistant properties to sunscreen formulas.
TINOSORB S also known as Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine. The most effective broad-Spectrum UV adsorber available. Offers filters across the whole UVA and UVB spectrum. It is photostable and is able to stabilise unstable filters. It is compatible with organic and inorganic filters, and meets high safety requirements and is oil soluble for high water resistance. This ingredient meets the most stringent UV protection requirements around the world for UV protective products, and UVB filters for high-SPF sunscreens.
UVINUL A PLUS also known as Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate /DHHB A photostable organic absorber that covers the long wavelengths of the UVA spectrum and has compatibility with others UV absorbers. It has excellent photostability and protection against free radicals.
AVOBENZONE also known as Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane is a synthetic sunscreen ingredient that provides sun protection in the UVA range. It’s one of the most widely used UVA filters in the world and has been rigorously tested for safety and efficacy.
UVINUL T15O also known as Ethylhexyl Triazone. A very high photostable adsorption of all available UVB filters. Polar which gives it good affinity to the keratin in the skin, which helps sunscreens to adhere to the skin. It has very high stability even to intense UV-exposure.
TOCOPHERYL ACETATE is a form of Vitamin E. A lipid soluble antioxidant that is naturally present in the skin. It has some nice photoprotection properties, meaning it can protect the skin from UV (and in case of Vit E it’s mainly UVB) rays. If you apply it on your skin, it lowers the production of sunburn cells, reduces the damage caused by UVB rays and inhibits photo carcinogenesis. Vitamin E protect the skin from free radicals and promote skin healing to diminish signs of aging. It also provides moisture and strengthens skin’s protective barrier to prevent moisture loss.
GLYCERIN enhances barrier function and reduces the Trans epidermal water loos (TEWL*). It is a moisturizer with long-lasting hydrating action. Trans epidermal water loss occurs when the skin’s protective barrier is damaged or impaired, allowing excess moisture content evaporate from the skin into the atmosphere. The result is dry, dehydrated, and/or irritated skin.
