Routine step: Optional. After the moisturiser but before sunscreen
Preparation:
• Exfoliate your skin 24 hours before using it. Insisting on dry areas (elbows, knees, feet)
• Apply to well-cleansed dry skin. Do not apply an oil-based body cream or any moisturiser, perfume, deodorant and essential oils just before your tan application.
• Always exfoliate and remove any unwanted body hair 24 hours before tanning to ensure the pores are closed.
Application:
• Shake the bottle and hold it upside down so that extra gas does not escape.
• Apply the Self-tan in areas starting first from the face, just as you would with a face moisturiser, and blend into the hairline and over the ears for a flawless finish. • • Continues with the arms, then the legs, followed by the torso. Massage the self-tanner into your skin in a circular motion.
• Spread the mousse evenly all over your body. Do not apply to damaged or irritated skin, and avoid eye contact.
• Feel free to use an application glove, or latex glove or wash your hands thoroughly.
• Leave it on for a few minutes while the product dries. Avoid showering within 4 hours after the treatment and allow your tan to develop over 8 hours for optimum results.
• Let it dry properly before you get dressed. Even though they are clean formulas and you don’t have to rinse them off, it is best to wear loose clothing for the next three hours and avoid sweating. It doesn’t transfer onto clothing or bedding.
• Do not expose yourself to the sun before 12 hours.
After application:
• The product has no guidance colour that needs to be washed off. Gradual tanning should not be washed off. The effect of tanning is created in the skin.
• For optimum results, we advise avoiding showering, swimming, and sweating for 4—8 hours (ideally 8hrs) to allow the Self Tan to develop in the skin. So, apply it and wait at least 10 hours if you need to wash it. The longer you let the product work, the better it will last.
• If your tan is the shade you want to keep colour, you typically only have to apply Self-tan about once a week. If you’re swimming a lot, the sea and chlorinated water will fade your tan more quickly.
• To remove the Self-tan, we recommend soaking in a warm bath and using an exfoliator. For perfect fade, exfoliate every 2—3 days.
Skin Care routine and maintenance:
• Apply sunscreen every day. You still need to protect your skin with sunscreen. Be sure that your sunscreen is SPF 30 or higher, Broad-spectrum (UVA/UVB protection)and water resistant. The Sunscreen Mousse SPF50 is a good option!
• Using sunscreen over a self-tanner is the best way to maintain an even skin tone and protect yourself from sun damage. Be sure to let the self-tanner dry completely before applying your sunscreen. Thus, please wait at least one hour after using a self-tanner; when it is dry, you can apply sunscreen. Apply your self-tan in the late afternoon or evening for even better results. Apply sunscreen in the same way that you applied your self-tanner.
• Use your favourite daily moisturiser: Keeping your skin moisturised is essential for maintaining a healthy, sumptuous glow. Use the same type of lightweight, oil-free moisturiser you used to prep for your tan.
• Avoid physical and chemical exfoliators: Harsh products can decrease the vibrancy of your tan, making it fade rapidly. Examples include exfoliators, retinoids, AHAs/ BHAs and acne treatments.
