Why do we love it?
In Calm Down is possible to find a combination of the gentle PHA and the anti-inflammatory Salycilic Acid (BHA) with several soothing, antioxidant and moisturizing ingredients. With this, this exfoliator do not only gently exfoliates, but also soothes and hydrates the skin.
Calm Down has a special place in the Exfoliator choices. Its formulation targeting sensitive skin, makes it perfect to be used for the summer or if you are already using other powerful actives in your routine. It is also a great option if you just start out using exfoliating acids and want to take it slow and start with a gentle option.
How to use?
After the cleansing step, use it as a toner, either with a (reusable) pad or pour it into your hands and pat until absorbed. Follow up with your favourite serums, moisturizer and sunscreen.
Phase-in application
If you are only starting now with chemical exfoliation, phase application in gradually:
- 1st – 2nd weeks: Use it twice a week
- 3rd – 4th weeks: every other night
- 5th week onwards: every night
This exfoliant is an ideal gentle exfoliant for the summer since it only acids that do not make the skin more sensitive to the sun. Still, we do recommend finalising your morning routine with sunscreen everyday due to the skin-damaging factor of the UV light.
IMPORTANT: The product contains BHA, do not use it if you are allergic to Aspirin.
